Day one of a three-day golfing festival saw Dad & Tristan take to a sunny Chilworth around 1.30 pm for the latest in the series that has been running since the start of the year. We came across Derek Kelly who was on the second tee as we finished off on the first.
The match was pretty close, with Tristan 1 up at the turn (after mysteriously losing his ball following a rocket launcher of a second shot), but I just crept away over the back 9.
I felt I was playing some good golf at times and the final score of 91 wasn’t too bad, all things considered. Tristan felt a bit aggrieved, as I have taken the last three in the series following a strong run by him over the previous couple of months.
Only 2 pars, on the first and the last, and 3 greens in regulation But 75% of tee shots were straight, which is encouraging after recent poor form in that department.
